2020 was a year for the record books. No cycling records, just a year of incredible disruption and insanity… but you know all about that.

One of the few good aspects of 2020 was the opportunity to ride a lot. For me it was 3400 miles – the most since 2014. 203,327 feet of climbing, and 180 days in the saddle. No injuries. In the spring during the lockdown the riding was superb because there was so little traffic on the roads. I found myself crossing major roads against the lights because there were so few cars.
