mid 1980's

Technology

I was always an early adopter of technology, so in the mid 80’s I got an IBM PC computer with 2 floppy disk drives and 128K of memory. I used it to track my marketing to potential clients, to print estimates and invoices, and later on to access the internet with a dial-up connection.  I clearly remember going to a presentation of the newest computer that was coming out – an Apple Macintosh. It was cute and the graphical interface was sexy, but the PC did what I needed and did it well. I wasn’t about to take a bite of that Apple.
