The Digital Age

Digital Images from a Nintendo Game Boy Camera circa 2000

By 2000 digital cameras were super high quality and film was unnecessary. Now Photoshop was powerful enough to do almost anything and everyone had it.  Unfortunately the equipment had matured but users had yet to figure out how to make their own style with the tools. I could easily recreate my darkroom techniques of layering, but the look of the photograms was hard to imitate. I could create photograms and scan them to add to a digital image. But the oop-arts/happy accident look of the analog processes was hard to replicate.
